April and May, 2024, have seen some of the best whale sightings in years dominated by numerous fin whales. ‘June Heat’ aboard East Meets West Excursions had excellent sightings throughout the month – Numerous humpback whales, lots of minke whales, a blue whale, and finished the month off with a cow/calf pair of brydes whales the past 2 days in a row. Dolphin trifecta yesterday morning with Risso’s dolphins, offshore bottlenose dolphins, common dolphins and 8-10 minke whales all in same general area, a humpback whale and cow/calf brydes whales. It’s been a unique month with diverse sightings.
