“I've gone out with East Meets West 7 times in the past 2 years and I LOVE them! The boat size is awesome, only a max of 6 people. I love not being on a huge boat trying to see over everyone and feeling smushed.
Nick is so so great! He has a real passion for wildlife, and it shines though. Seeing dolphins and whales in the wild (where they belong) is a magical experience. I've gone out with Brandon and Craig as well, and they were great too. Thank you all for always stopping to pull out balloons too. That's important to me.

"My friends and I had an amazing time with Captain Nick aboard East Meets West. I’m generally nervous on boats and prone to sea sickness but had no issues at all. I felt completely safe the entire time. Captain Nick really put in the time to find the dolphins and a humpback whale, it took a while, but he was persistent. He knew everything about the marine animals and was always very conscientious about keeping a safe distance from the whale to make sure it felt unharmed in its natural habitat. The boat is extremely comfortable, there’s no bad seat. 6 people maximum makes for a much more interactive and personal experience. I can’t say enough about what a great experience this is. “We booked this tour with a private boat. Of course, the boat is small but we never felt unsafe. When out of the harbor, the boat speed up and we found immediately dolphins and had a great experience with our family. The captain was friendly and was very respectful to the animals.

“Took my family of 5 on an amazing whale watching experience today. Did much research to find this incredible company out of Newport. Capt. Nick was great navigating us to a huge pod of dolphins! Wow what a site.... on our way back we encountered the most majestic creature anyone can possibly see. We saw a blue whale in all of his wonder. Capt. Nick was able to hang out and watch a couple of sequences so we could get that money shot of the tail. You won't get that attention with those big boats. Pay the tad extra for the up close and personal experience. Our family will remember this on forever! Thanks again.”

"The size of this boat is perfect for getting up close to see dolphins and whales. The dolphins were right in front of our boat and we got to see them up close as they jumped in and out of the water. I’ve never seen anything like it. We also got to see a few large whales which was breathtaking. Captain Nick was totally cool and made us feel instantly comfortable in our small group. I would definitely come back! Highly recommend doing this at least once in your lifetime. Totally worth it.”

“We saw two gray whales within minutes of leaving the harbor! After watching the whales for a while Captain Nick asked us if we wanted to try to find some dolphins. We agreed knowing no one else was finding dolphins. Capt Nick went way out of his way and found a mega pod. It was incredible seeing so many dolphins! I highly recommend this company!!!”
